Your Next Read: In Five Years

I’m a sucker for a good love story. And In Five Years did not disappoint. I read it in pretty much one sitting, so if you’re looking for a quick, easy, sweet read, then In Five Years might be for you! It took lots of twists and turns and the ending really surprised me. (And if you read, please let me know because I need someone to discuss this ending with!)

Also, if you’ve seen Famous In Love, the author of In Five Years, Rebecca Serle, developed that show! I haven’t seen it, but lots of people love it and have told me about it recently.

Rating: 4/5 stars!

Summary: It’s 2020 and Dannie Cohan lives in New York and has it all: perfect boyfriend, great career as a lawyer, and an incredible best friend. When the night finally comes for Dannie’s boyfriend to propose, Dannie accepts, they go back to their apartment, and Dannie falls asleep… but wakes up in a different apartment with a different boyfriend in 2025. Dannie finally wakes up and tries to shake the dream, but it turns into a nightmare when the man from her dream shows up as her best friend Bella’s new boyfriend.

And so the turmoil begins! But twists come that you couldn’t dream up. This book takes you through all the emotions and character development. The ending leaves you unsure on what the future will hold for all the characters involved.

If You Like: One Day in December has a VERY similar beginning to In Five Years. If you liked One Day in December then you’ll definitely like this read! At first, I didn’t love that but the books definitely take two extremely different directions.
