I had never heard of this book, but a friend suggested it to me and let me borrow her copy! We Were Liars is a very quirky book. I couldn’t decide if I liked it in the beginning or not. The chapters are very short and there is lots of mystery, but I decided to keep reading solely because I wanted to see what the conclusion of this mystery was, and I’m so glad I did!

Summary: This mystery starts off with uncovering a little about the Sinclair family and what each person who plays a role in this story is like. The Sinclairs are a very wealthy, well-connected, and well-known family, but they harbor lots of secrets. It’s hard to tell what is the truth and what is a lie until the very end. The star of the book is a teenager named Cadence. She is the eldest grandchild of the family, but she gets into an accident and doesn’t quite feel like herself anymore. Everyone is keeping secrets about really happened the day of her accident, and Cadence begins to wonder if she’ll ever know the truth about that day.
For Fans Of: Mystery lovers and those looking for a short read should pick up a copy of this! I zoomed right through it, and the ending truly had me shocked. It’s a conclusion I did not expect whatsoever.
