I read this one back a few months ago, and it was a fun, easy read for the summer!
Rating: 3/5 stars. Don’t think I’ll ever read it again, and it was super predictable BUT good for a mindless read!
Summary: Poppy and Alex have been best friends for years. As many best friends are, they couldn’t be any more opposite but they are very drawn to one another for that very reason. Every year, they vow to go on a vacation together regardless of their relationship status or how busy their lives are. But as the years past, the lines grow blurrier and blurrier in their friendship and the people in their lives don’t seem to trust there isn’t something going on between them. There have been times when they’ve become interested in one another, but never at the right time.
Something happens that ruins their friendship, and they don’t speak for years. Poppy has everything a girl could want in NYC, but still isn’t satisfied. She can’t remember the last time she felt happy until a memory of her past vacations with Alex resurface and she realizes she feels happiest with him. She arranges one final vacation with them to try and fix their friendship, and they try to navigate what their lives can look like after what happened on vacation two years ago.
